From Page to Stage!, Pre-K, 5 Weeks $130
Every week a new story comes to life through creative drama, movement activities, and arts and crafts. Students will engage in an interactive exploration of beginning theatre, classic and current children's literature, and nursery rhymes. The final say of class will feature a "Shareformance."

Theatre in a Trunk, Kindergarten - 1st Grade, 8 Weeks, $260

A new adventure begins each week as actors discover treasures in a trunk and bring characters to life through creative drama and movement. Class features an interactive exploration of beginning theatre, classing and current children's literature. The final day of class will feature a "Shareformance".

Acting Classes, Elementary / Middle / High School, 8 Weeks

Level I: $175

This acting class is great for everyone!  Students will study the techniques of theatre while building foundational acting skills and theatre vocabulary.  Students will explore theatre through games, monologues, scene work, character building, and improvisation. The final day of class will feature a "Shareformance".

Design and Production, 6th- 12th Grade, 8 Weeks $300

 Experience and learn the process of creating a show from concept to reality. Try your hand at designing costumes, sets, and create and manage lighting and sound for WTP’s Spring Productions. Students will develop renderings as well as learn basic model building techniques. Those with no experience are welcome, the only prerequisite for this class is a creative mind. Cost includes materials fee.

Musical Theatre Dance Class, Elementary/Middle/ High School, $260

Have you ever wondered how those big production numbers pop?  In this fun and fast paced dance class, WTP will focus on the dance moves that make audiences beg for more. This class is great for first timers with no previous dance experience and seasoned stars ready to practice their craft.

Private Voice Lessons With Eric Anderson, Jr., 5th-12th Grade, $280

Love to sing? These one-on-one lessons, will give students the opportunity to build and improve their basic singing technique while expanding their knowledge of the musical theatre repertoire.  Each student will also be given the chance to share their progress in a group “share-formance” at the end of each eight-week session.

Eric Anderson Jr. (Music Director & Voice Teacher) has worked as Musical Director with WTP on many projects including MadagascarWilly Wonka, Spring Awakening, In the Heights, Lion King, Chicago, and IMPACT!. When not in Wellesley, he teaches voice and piano lessons from his studio in Stoughton, where he serves as secretary of the local cultural council. He also works as a Repertoire Coach at Walnut Hill School for the Arts. Eric lived for several years in Bloomington, IN, studying music and piano performance at the Indiana University Jacobs School of Music, and taking part in a wide range of theatre productions as producer, director, music-director, and – in one last-minute situation – a follow-spot operator.

Four Week Workshops

Musical Theatre Workshop2nd-8th Grade, 10am - noon, 4 Weeks, $225

Learn solo and ensemble numbers from some hit Broadway shows of the past and present! Students will work on becoming true theatrical "triple threats" during this intensive. Singing, Dancing, and Acting their way through some of Musical Theatre's most beloved songs.  Includes one on one and group coaching with Musical Director. The final day of class will feature a "Shareformance".

Students will create characters and scenes through games and exercises that build confidence, self- reliance, concentration and teamwork. The final day of class will feature a "Shareformance"

Stage Combat, 6th-12th Grade, Saturday 12pm-2pm, 4 Weeks, $195

Learn the art of choreographed confrontation. Included are safe techniques for a simple fall and roll, hand to hand fighting and weapons (swords, bottles, salamis). The final day of class will feature a"Shareformance".

Experienced students take a performance on the road! Highlights include parades, festivals, plays and musical theatre.*** 

Please prepare 32 bars of any uptempo song that you feel best showcases your voice/abilities. 
You must provide the sheet music (we provide the accompanist).

Be prepared to learn a simple dance combination.
Wear or bring appropriate clothes and shoes to move in. 

***Preference is given to students enrolled in the program or who have been enrolled in the program recently.

Production Classes
Students will explore their creativity and expand their acting, singing, and dancing skills. From audition preparation to Opening Night, all students will learn what it takes to produce a stage show. 

Production Class: Cinderella, 2nd-12th Grade, $630

Prerequisite: Previous enrollment in a WTP production class and/or, current or previous enrollment in a WTP Acting, Dance or Workshop class.*  

Auditions will be held by appointment the week of January 15.
Rehearsals Begin the week of January 22
Performances June 8-10, 2018

Rehearsal Days - Choose One:
Tuesday/Thursday, 4-6pm and some Saturdays 1-4pm.
Wednesday/Friday, 4-6pm and some Saturdays 1-4pm (WAIT LIST ONLY!)

After auditions students will receive a rehearsal schedule. While students may not be required to attend every rehearsal, attendance during Tech Week is mandatory.

It's almost time for the royal ball! Join us for this timeless, classic tale from Rogers & Hammerstein. When her wicked stepmother and evil stepsisters prevent her from attending the royal ball, Cinderella expects to spend her night at home cleaning the house. With the help of a magical spell from a Fairy Godmother, and some lovely forest friends, Cinderella is able to attend the ball where she meets a charming Prince. But when the clock strikes midnight, and the spell wears off, Cinderella must go. Will she ever be reunited with the Prince or will she be stuck living under the rule of her stepmother forever?

Join us for this unforgettable rock musical about fitting in, and standing out, written by Tony Award winning composer, Jason Robert Brown. Evan Goldman is plucked from his fast-paced, preteen New York City life and plopped into a sleepy Indiana town following his parents divorce. Surrounded by an array of simpleminded middle school students, he needs to establish his place in the popularity pecking order. Can he situate himself on a comfortable link of the food chain...or will he dangle at the end with the outcasts?

Production Class: The Complete Works of Shakespeare (Abridged), 5th-12th Grade
This is an audition-only production. Auditions will be held by appointment.
Rehearsals Begin in April 2018

Rehearsals:  Mondays 6:30-8:30pm, Saturdays 5-7pm, Beginning March 3. (No rehearsals 3/26-4/8 and 4/14-4/22).
