Highlights include:

• Understanding the college audition process and navigating college performing arts programs.

• Creating a “Plan Worksheet” (type of school?, location?, BFA vs. BA vs. conservatory?, etc.).

• Understanding audition requirements and deadlines.

• Understanding the prescreen process (for schools that require).

• Filming prescreens and reels at WTP.

• Selecting appropriate material and that is contrasting in style (song and monologue).

• Navigating the dance component (if applicable).

• Establishing appropriate cuts of material to fit time/specifics the school is asking for.

• Evaluate/build repertoire book (in case asked for other options). 

• Coach song and monologue. 

• Create and format resume.

• Evaluate headshot. 

• Understanding how to electronically submit supplemental material to application (performing arts material).

• Opportunities to connect with Program Directors and arrange visits to campuses (possibly sit in on a class).

• Understanding the career path upon completion of the degree/program.
