Wellesley Theatre Project offers a variety of Summer Camps for all ages! Camps are divided by the age/grade your child is entering in the Fall and include one-week specialty offerings and multi-week production camps. 

Space is limited and registration is based upon the order in which applications are received.  Applications are not complete without payment in full or a deposit.  Contact us about sibling or multiple camp discounts, and need-based scholarships.  

One-Week Camps

From preschool through high school, we offer a wide range of summer camps for both beginners and experienced stage performers - including classes in acting/drama, musical dance theatre, and voice. 


From Page to Stage!


$300 (Pay in full by December 1st: $275)

9am to 12pm

Choose from one of five camp sessions.

Using well loved stories to teach children acting basics and beginning theatre, each day a new book will come to life through creative drama, movement activities, and arts and crafts.  Students will share their new skills with family and friends on the final day of camp.  

June 22-26

Join us for a magical adventure with unicorns! Through fun stories, songs and activities, students will act, sing, and dance with these enchanting creatures.

July 6-10

Ahoy Matey! Campers will embark on a journey above and below the high seas as they create pirate and mermaid characters. It will be aargh-some week!

July 13-17

Join us for a magical adventure with unicorns! Through fun stories, songs and activities, students will act, sing, and dance with these enchanting creatures.

July 27-31

Get ready for the adventures of the barnyard! With friendly characters and exciting stories, students will act, sing and dance their way around the farm.

August 3-7

Through fun stories, songs and activities, students will act, sing, and dance with fire-breathing dragons and prehistoric reptiles.

June 22-26

School is in at the WTP School of Witchcraft and Wizardry this summer. Get sorted and explore the magical world of acting by creating scenes inspired by J.K. Rowling's hit book series, "Harry Potter." Dementors need not enroll. The week will end with a "Shareformance."

Fractured Fairy Tales


$600 (Pay in full by December 1st: $525)

August 3-7

For a recipe of of fun, add a dash of fantasy, a pinch of adventure, and sprinkle liberally with fairy dust for this magical journey into theatre. Ever wonder what would happen if Cinderella didn't find her prince, or if Jack decided not to climb the beanstalk? Things certainly would have turned out differently, wouldn't they? If you enjoy creating new twists and turns, you will love bringing creativity to the stage to make your very own fairy tale. We'll take elements of favorite stories, put them in a grab bag, and create our own mixed up fairy tale. The final day will include a "Shareformance."

Shakespeare Boot Camp


$600 (Pay in full by December 1st: $525)

July 13-17

This one week camp is designed to immerse actors in the works of William Shakespeare. Participants will discover techniques to unlock the text and bring the Bard's words to life. All students will actively participate in a mix of sonnets, monologues, and scenes selected to highlight the wide range of possibilities within Shakespeare's work. The session will culminate with a "Shareformance" that will demonstrate increased understanding of classical text.

Discover Disney

July 6 - 10

Disney will be our inspiration this week! We will act out scenes and songs from favorite Disney shows, movies, and musicals! Scenes and numbers will be staged and choreographed for an exciting “Shareformance” on the final day of class. 

Heroes and Villains


$600 (Pay in full by December 1st: $525)

July 27-31

Let your courage and bravery shine dust off your cape, grab your mask and wand, and put on your creative cap for a fun, action-packed camp! Campers will uncover which qualities create a protagonist that saves the day, and which qualities develop into a dubious villain. Who will be the victor in this clash of the titans? There will be a “Shareformance” on the final day

Production Camps

Students will explore their creativity and expand their acting, singing, and dancing skills.  From audition preparation to Opening Night, all students will learn what it takes to produce a stage show. Each camp will conclude with three performances of a fully realized production professionally produced and ticketed for the public. Space is limited, and registration is based on the order in which applications are received. Please contact us with any questions.

A typical day will involve:

  • Theatre arts classes in acting, character development, dance, voice, and improvisation

  • Production rehearsals, including group and individual coaching sessions with the director, musical director and choreographer   

Tuition includes:  Camp T-shirt, Folder with Official Script, and two tickets to the production

She is determined to find her parents who abandoned her years ago on the doorstep of a New York City Orphanage run by the cruel, embittered Miss Hannigan. With the help of the other girls in the Orphanage, Annie escapes to the wondrous world of NYC. In adventure after fun-filled adventure she finds a new home and family in billionaire Oliver Warbucks, his personal secretary Grace Farrell, and a lovable mutt named Sandy.

Join us as we carry the banner in turn-of-the century New York City! Newsies is the rousing tale of Jack Kelly, a charismatic newsboy and leader of a band of teenaged "newsies."
