Camps
Below are our Summer 2023 Camp offerings. This summer WTP will require that all enrolled students either (i)be fully vaccinated and up to date on recommended vaccinations/boosters as available for Covid-19 or (ii) submit to a Covid-19 test prior to each entry at WTP at the families expense.
Wellesley Theatre Project offers a variety of Summer Camps for all ages! Camps are divided by the age/grade your child is entering in the Fall and include one-week specialty offerings and multi-week production camps.
Space is limited and registration is based upon the order in which applications are received. Applications are not complete without payment in full or a deposit. Contact us about sibling or multiple camp discounts, and need-based scholarships.

One-Week Camps
From elementary through high school, we offer a wide range of summer camps for both beginners and experienced stage performers - including classes in acting/drama, musical dance theatre, and voice.
From Page to Stage!
4 YEARS TO 1ST GRADE

9:30am to 12pm
Choose from one of five camp sessions.
Using well loved stories to teach children acting basics and beginning theatre, each day a new book will come to life through creative drama, movement activities, and arts and crafts. Students will share their new skills with family and friends on the final day of camp.



June 26-30
Join us for a magical adventure with unicorns! Through fun stories, songs and activities, students will act, sing, and dance with these enchanting creatures.

July 10-14
Get ready for the adventures of the barnyard! With friendly characters and exciting stories, students will act, sing and dance their way around the farm.

July 17-21
Join us for a magical adventure with unicorns! Through fun stories, songs and activities, students will act, sing, and dance with these enchanting creatures.

July 31- August 4
Pack your bags and grab your sunscreen! Take a safari with us! Join us on an adventure filled with stories of jungle animals and sounds.

August 7-11
Ahoy Matey! Campers will embark on a journey above and below the high seas as they create pirate and mermaid characters. It will be aargh-some week!
Audition Prep:
Acting Intensive
5TH TO 9TH GRADE

This one week camp will focus on the students' individual process and confidence and help prepare them for acting and dance auditions. Students will work on picking up and performing choreography at auditions. Extra attention will be given to acting, including cold reading scenes, and ensuring students leave with a fully prepared monologue that they can confidently perform. The week will end with students ready for their next audition!

Calling all Zombies, Villains and Descendants, theatre kids, and every rockin' kid out there! We will let Zombies, and Descendants be our guide! Featuring awesome songs and stories from some of Disney's smash hit movies to rock your socks off!

The magic of Disney will be our inspiration this week! All it takes is faith, trust, and a little pixie dust! We will act out scenes from favorite Disney shows, movies and musical, and explore music, movement, characters, and stories from the happiest place on earth!

Summer Dance Intensive
6TH TO 12TH GRADE

Session 2: August 28 - September 1
Enhance your dance skills this summer with WTP's Dance Intensive! This fast paced intensive is for students entering 6th-12th grade who are serious about advancing their dance technique. Each session will include styles in Jazz, Tap, Dance Conditioning, Hip Hop, and more. Students will learn from multiple theatre industry professionals who will be joining WTP for this summer program. Students may sign up for one or both sessions. The content in each session will be unique. Grab a friend and join us!



Production Camps
Students will explore their creativity and expand their acting, singing, and dancing skills. From audition preparation to Opening Night, all students will learn what it takes to produce a stage show. Each camp will conclude with three performances of a fully realized production on a stage professionally produced and open for the public. Space is limited, and registration is based on the order in which applications are received. Please contact us with any questions.
A typical day will involve:

Theatre arts classes in acting, character development, dance, voice, and improvisation

Production rehearsals, including group and individual coaching sessions with the director, musical director and choreographer
Tuition includes: Camp T-shirt and Official Script.
A 50% deposit must be made after enrolling, via credit card or email in order to secure your spot. Full tuition must be paid by April 1st 2023. Need-based scholarships are available.
All Production Camps meet Monday through Friday from 9am to 4pm. Performance dates and times are listed below.

Winnie the Pooh, KIDS!
