Summer 2027 Camps

Wellesley Theatre Project offers a variety of Summer Camps for all ages including one-week specialty offerings and multi-week production camps. 

Space is limited and registration is based upon the order in which applications are received.  Students should enroll in summer camp based on what grade they are entering in the fall. Applications are not complete without payment in full.  Contact us about sibling or multiple camp discounts, and need-based scholarships.  

Full payment is due at time of registration, and is required to reserve a place in the class. If paying by check, please click "Pay Later" and submit payment within one week to secure enrollment by mailing or dropping in the WTP Drop Box out front (219 Washington St. Wellesley, MA) within two weeks.  A full refund, minus a $75 registration fee, will be available until March 1st 2027.

ONE-WEEK CAMPS

From preschool through high school, we offer a wide range of summer camps for both beginners and experienced stage performers. Each themed one week camp includes training in acting/drama or musical theatre. Students who should enroll in camps based on the grade they are entering in the fall.

Join us for an unforgettable week as we bring the magic of theatre to life through beloved ocean-inspired stories like The Little Mermaid, Finding Nemo, Moana, SpongeBob, and more. Through combining games, songs, acting, and dance—students will have a thrilling undersea journey!

Foundations of Musical Theatre

5TH THROUGH 8TH

9:00AM TO 3:00PM

JULY 19-23 2027

This is a prerequisite class for any enrollment show with WTP. This class will introduce the core concepts of

Musical Theatre! Students will learn choreography, dance technique, singing and breathing techniques, as well as learning how to perform confidently on stage. They will learn how to notate blocking, project their voice, and many other skills required of musical theatre actors. All students at Wellesley Theatre Project need to have this

foundation before performing in a full production during the school year.

Production Camps

Students will explore their creativity and expand their acting, singing, and dancing skills. From audition preparation to Opening Night, all students will learn what it takes to produce a stage show. Each camp will conclude with three performances of a fully realized production on a stage professionally produced and open for the public. Space is limited, and registration is based on the order in which applications are received. Please contact us with any questions.

The Little Mermaid Kids

2ND TO 8TH GRADE

July 6th through July 16th 

Monday through Friday 9AM-4PM

Performances: July 15th, 16th & 17th

This production will have two casts: Reef & Shore.
Students will find out which cast they are in on the second day of camp. Siblings will be placed in the same cast.

Reef Cast Performances: 7/15 at 5PM & 7/17 at 5PM

Shore Cast Performances: 7/16 at 5PM & 7/17 at 2PM

Join Ariel, the adventurous mermaid with dreams of life above the waves, on an enchanting underwater adventure in this beloved musical adaptation. When Ariel makes a deal with the sea witch Ursula to trade her tail for legs, she discovers that getting what you wish for can come with unexpected challenges. With help from her friends Flounder, Scuttle, and Sebastian, Ariel sets out to win Prince Eric’s heart and discover where she truly belongs. Packed with unforgettable characters, hilarious moments, and beloved songs like “Part of Your World” and “Under the Sea,” The Little Mermaid KIDS is a magical celebration of friendship, courage, and finding your voice.

The Lightning Thief

This production will have two casts: Bolt & Spark. Students will find out which cast they are in on the second day of camp. Siblings will be placed in the same cast.

Spark Cast Performances: 7/23 at 5PM & 7/24 at 2PM

Join us for The Lightning Thief: The Percy Jackson Musical, the musical adaptation of Rick Riordan’s best selling book. As the half-blood son of a Greek god, Percy Jackson has newly-discovered powers he can't control, a destiny he doesn't want, and a mythology textbook's worth of monsters on his trail. When Zeus's master lightning bolt is stolen and Percy becomes the prime suspect, he has to find and return the bolt to prove his innocence and prevent a war between the gods. But to succeed on his quest, Percy will have to do more than catch the thief. He must travel to the Underworld and back; solve the riddle of the Oracle, which warns him of betrayal by a friend; and come to terms with the father who abandoned him.
