Below are our Fall Class offerings. With the exception of our audition-only programs, space for classes is allocated on a first come, first served basis. For our audition-only programs, registration fees will be charged once students are selected for the program.
Theatre Arts
Classes
From preschool through high school, we offer a wide range of programs for both beginners and experienced stage performers - including classes in acting/drama, musical dance theatre, and voice. Students who are interested in pursuing a WTP Production Class are strongly encouraged to enroll in a WTP Acting Class if they have not already done so.

Theatre in a Trunk

A new adventure begins each week as actors discover treasures in a trunk and bring characters to life through creative drama and movement. This acting class is great for everyone! Students will study the techniques of theatre while building foundational acting skills and theatre vocabulary. Students will explore theatre through games, monologues, scene work, character building, and improvisation. The final day of class will feature a "Shareformance".

This invite/audition-only studio acting class is for advanced students looking to build skills and challenge themselves. Students will study and expand on previous techniques improving their artistry. This is a fast paced class that will benefit even a seasoned performer.

Have you ever wondered how those big production numbers pop? In this fun and fast paced dance class, WTP will focus on the dance moves that make audiences beg for more. This class is great for first timers with no previous dance experience and seasoned stars ready to practice their craft.

Love to sing? These one-on-one lessons, will give students the opportunity to build and improve their basic singing technique while expanding their knowledge of the musical theatre repertoire. Each student will also be given the chance to share their progress in a group “share-formance” at the end of each eight-week session. The Shareformance will be from 6:15-7:00pm on Friday, November 30th.
ERIC ANDERSON JR.
Music Director & Voice Teacher
Eric has worked as Musical Director with WTP on many projects, including Cinderella, Madagascar, 13 the Musical, Willy Wonka, Spring Awakening, In the Heights, Lion King, Chicago, and IMPACT! When not at WTP, he teaches voice and piano lessons from his studio in Stoughton, where he serves as secretary of the local cultural council. He also works as a Repertoire Coach at Walnut Hill School for the Arts. Eric lived in Bloomington, IN for several years, studying music and piano performance at the Indiana University Jacobs School of Music, and taking part in a wide range of theatre productions as producer, director, music-director, and – in one last-minute situation – a follow-spot operator.
Musical Theatre Workshop

"Sing Out, Louise!" Learn solo and ensemble numbers from some hit Broadway shows of the past and present! Students will work on becoming true theatrical "triple threats" during this intensive. Singing, Dancing, and Acting their way through some of Musical Theatre's most beloved songs. Includes one on one and group coaching with Musical Director. The final day of class will feature a "Shareformance".
Production
Classes
Students will explore their creativity and expand their acting, singing, and dancing skills. From audition preparation to Opening Night, all students will learn what it takes to produce a stage show.
Prerequisite: Previous enrollment in a WTP production class and/or current or previous enrollment in a WTP Acting, Dance or Workshop class. Students who have been in a WTP production, but who have not taken a WTP Acting Class are strongly encouraged to do so. At the teacher's discretion, enrollment requirements may be waived. Join the excitement of Junie B. on her first day of first grade, where many changes are in store! This includes Junie's best friend Lucille finding new best friends, Junie B. making friends with the new kid, and having trouble reading the blackboard - she may need glasses. Add in a friendly cafeteria lady, an intense kickball tournament and a "Top-Secret Personal Beeswax Journal," and first grade has never been more exciting. The show features many lovable characters and fun-filled songs based on the best selling books by Barbara Park.

AUDITION REQUIREMENTS & PREPARATION:
Please prepare 32 Bars of an upbeat Musical Theatre Number and bring the sheet music (we will provide an accompanist). Wear comfortable clothes and dance shoes or tennis shoes for the dance audition.
