WTP is very excited about our new outdoor theatre experience, but Mother Nature may have other plans with interference from bad weather. We are planning to work with what nature gives us to have the show go on, but the weather may be bad enough to warrant a cancellation.

If the forecast is looking bad enough to cause us to cancel, the decision will be made no later than four hours prior to the performance on the day of the show. Announcements will be made on our Facebook, Instagram, and Twitter pages as well as the website. All patrons with pre-reserved tickets will receive an email from WTP Staff. All tickets will be transferred to another performance, or if the patron cannot attend another night, a refund will be issued at the end of the run of the show.

Should bad weather come up during a production, we will continue if at all possible (such as in a light to moderate rain), but if conditions worsen to the point that they threaten the safety of our patrons, cast, crew, or equipment, then we will hold the show for up to 30 minutes before a decision is made to cancel for the night. If the production is cancelled before intermission, all tickets will be transferred to another performance or a refund will be issued at the end of the run. If the production is cancelled during or after intermission, no refunds will be issued but we are still happy to transfer the ticket to another performance.

In the event of a cancellation, please email us at info@wellesleytheatreproject.org or call us at 781-235-1550 to choose the performance to which you would like to transfer your tickets.

We’re thrilled to have Bob run the Boston Marathon this year on behalf of Wellesley Theater Project (WTP), supporting our efforts in Boston’s MetroWest community.  Bob is a fixture in the Boston Marathon scene, and will be running his 22nd marathon this year.  Bob’s daughter, Abby, has appeared in numerous WTP productions, including Bugsy Malone, Honk Jr., Willy Wonka, Jr., and The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee.  Please join Bob in supporting the WTP cause! (Naturally, all donations are tax deductible.)

A NOTE FROM WTP

Dear WTP Family,

We are very excited for our 10th Anniversary summer!

We are happy to continue to give our students a creative outlet and ability to interact with their peers and WTP Family. From our Fall & Winter Programming, we know we can do so as safely as possible!

This summer, we are excited to offer fully in-person programing. We will be limiting enrollment numbers, using an outdoor tent and an outdoor stage, wearing masks (indoors), and maintaining about 3 feet of social distance!

WTP has set up policies in order to keep our students, teachers, and families safe. Please click here to read up on our policies.

With all of this in mind, WTP knows that this is an ever-changing situation. We will continue to monitor the situation and proceed with the best information available as we go forward.

If WTP must move to a virtual format at anytime, we are sure we can do so without a disruption.

Please note that if you enroll in a WTP Summer Camp, you understand that we may have to move to a virtual format.

Please click here to see our summer camp options.

See you soon!
